What is Craftsy?

There are a few online sites that are my go-to-places for sewing and crafting information.  By now you all know, I love Pinterest but today I am sharing about Craftsy.com - my all-time favorite for online education and information at my fingertips.

Craftsy is a website that offers 800 + on-line classes on subjects from sewing and knitting to cake decorating and photography.  (This weekend only 8/7 - 8/9 400+ online craft classes on sale - deep discounts for a limited time!)  Classes are taught by industry leaders.  The Craftsy classes allow you to learn at your own pace - any time, anywhere.  Craftsy can quickly take you from beginner to intermediate level skills and beyond.

Craftsy was founded in the spring of 2010 by four tech guys who wanted to create a new high-quality approach to online learning.  (Online education isn’t just for schools and universities anymore.)  Craftsy courses provide you the convenience of a world-class instructor in your home or on the go with their mobile app, whenever you want to learn.  Online learning is a fantastic alternative to in-store craft classes for people with busy schedules or who have difficulty leaving the house.  You're able to learn at your own pace. The video allows you to watch a troubling section over-and-over again, so you can see exactly how a technique is carried out.  Imagine being able to refer back to your class and watch that technique again before beginning any new projects.  The class is yours forever to watch again and again.

Watching a Craftsy class is like having a first-row seat with some of the best instructors in the world and the classes have a 100% money-back guarantee.

I have taken several classes from Craftsy.  I love the way you can sign up, and watch (and re-watch) whenever you want.  I find the the printouts offered with the classes are very useful.
