Bouncee Pouncee Fun Land is the Perfect Place for Kids

One drawback to living in a small town is that there are not a lot of places to take my grandchildren for a Grandma’s Date.  That means I’m always on the lookout for fun activities to do with my grandkids (especially things that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg or take an hour or more to drive to one-way.)

A few months ago I heard about a giant warehouse full of bounce houses just like the ones you rent for a birthday party.  With inflatables up to the rafters, Bouncee Pouncee Fun Land sounded like bounce heaven for kids with lots of energy.  The best thing is it’s just over the bridge in Marysville (maybe a 20 minute drive from my home.)  The next best thing is that on Tuesdays and Thursdays through October they're offering their 90-minute bounce session for just $5 per child (one adult gets in free with each child).  Bouncee Pouncee is close and cheap—for me, that’s a winning combination!  But it’s also great fun for kids ages 1-13.

Bouncee Pouncee is huge!  It's the largest indoor bounce playland in Northern California.  It has 10,000 square feet of space with 14 different bounce houses.  Bouncee Pouncee caters to toddlers and elementary school children.  The kids can enjoy healthy, outdoor-type active play, only indoors!  They can slide down gigantic bounce house slides, crawl through bounce house tunnels, and bounce to their hearts content.

Carter particularly liked the "Cars" bounce house.

There's also a fenced-in toddlers area for kids four and under.  Toddler Town has three adorable bounce houses for the littles to enjoy without fear of being bounced off by bigger kids.

Even the littlest ones have a great area to bounce

I've taken the grandkids to Bouncee Pouncee a few times and they’ve had a blast.  We even had Carter’s 3rd birthday party there last month.  There are four party rooms and they can accommodate any size party.  For Carter’s party we had the usual party fare—pizza and soda supplied by Bouncee Pouncee—and brought in our own cake and cupcakes.  The party was affordable, the food was good, but the staff was amazing!  They took care of everything (but the cake and invitations.)  They set up and decorated the party rooms nicely; they served everyone; they handled the clean-up up; and they even help take the gifts to the car and helped load them.

This was a great place to have a birthday

Bouncee Pouncee has a full snack bar with pizza, nachos, hot dogs, water, and coca cola products.  They also have popcorn, cookies, and chips.  I was told they also have healthier options like veggie straws and apple chips. (I didn't noticed as I was blinded by the junk food.)   You can sit in the ultra clean snack area and surf the web using their have free Wi-Fi.

I am most impressed with the way this place is ran.  Everyone is extremely friendly and appear to be enjoying their jobs (I found out that beside the owners, the rest of the staff are volunteers, mostly their family.)  They all do an excellent job of keeping everything clean, safe, and in pristine condition.  There's plenty of seating so that parents can sit back and watch kids play without being too far away.  There's plenty of parking and Bouncee Pouncee is handicap accessible.

Kuddos to the owners of this fun place for little ones!  Bouncee Pouncee is the brainchild of Leah and Kevin Robinson.  For years they were long-haul truckers but trucking gradually takes a toll on the body and they eventually felt they needed to change careers.  When talking with them you can tell they’re really passionate about what they do.

“It would have been easy to just start a restaurant but we wanted to offer something that was really needed in the area,” Kevin told me.   After they sold their truck they researched the area and saw the community needed something for toddlers and school-aged children.  That is how Bouncee Pouncee was born.

Bouncee Pouncee Fun Land's only drawback is it's a little out of the way, but it's so worth the effort when you do find it!  It is a perfect way to get out and have fun!

Bouncee Pouncee is located at 1104 J Street in Marysville, CA.  They can be reached by phone at 530-740-1234.

My best tip:  The house rule is that kids must wear socks.  I suggest you bring the ones with grips on the bottom so your child will not be slipping all over the place.  (If you forget socks all together the facility can sell you a pair for $2.)

Carter was constantly playing while we were there.  It was hard to get any good pictures of him.
